Hi everyone,
We decided today to change our drivetrain from mecanum to 2-motor drive with castors so we can use a CIM motor for the telescope and lose some weight.
Minibot team: worked on the minibot assembly; just have to put on wheels and a motor.
Drivetrain team: wheels are nearly constructed, a motor mount was built and spacers were made for the other mounts.
Programming team: Changed the code from using a 4-motor to a 2-motor drive system, fine-tuned the telescope/arm controls, began work on vision code, and wrote code for the minibot.
Claw team: finished attaching the hinges to the trolley device and then mounted a cylinder to it; in addition, support struts were made for it.
Also, work was started on the frame and the castors.
Thanks to Sammy for breakfast and Mikey for lunch. Our next meeting is on Monday, Jan 30 at 4:30 p.m.
